Prep Like a Pro: Ace Your Interview Workshop
Join CollegeJourney Peer Leaders Ermina and Mayisha for a “Prep Like a Pro: Ace Your Interview”virtualworkshop on Friday, 5/16. This is your chance to sharpen your interview skills and boost your confidence for future career opportunities.
The workshop will include:
Key strategies to help you ace any interview
Mock interview sessions for real-time practice
Information about internship and fellowship programs
Exciting news! uAspire is partnering with New York City public schools to host a free financial aid and college application support event on Wednesday, 5/21, from 9am-1pm.
This event is open to college students and families who may need assistance with:
Completing FAFSA, TAP, or the DREAM Act applications
Reviewing financial aid award letters
Getting answers to general college and financial aid questions
The "Made in NY" Production Assistant Training program is a free, four-week job training program for low-income New York City residents interested in starting a career in film and TV production. Graduates will receive job placement for two years following the training program. The program is now recruiting for its June 2025 training cycle!
No previous production experience is required for this program. Applicants without a high school diploma, GED, or college degree are encouraged to apply. The program is looking for individuals who are available full-time, are ready to learn, and are eager to work.
To apply, prospective applicants must attend a virtual information session on Monday, 5/19 at 1pm.
Share your college experience with high school seniors in the Class of 2025!
Do you wish someone had given you the real deal about what to expect in college? Would you be excited to talk about your experience and share tips with high school seniors?
The College Persistence team is seeking alumni volunteers to help with our 2025 College SendOff program! We are looking for current college students who are attending all types of colleges (near, far, out of state, CUNY, SUNY, Private, Ivy, HBCUs, 2 years, and 4 years) to share their experience and advice with high school seniors.
All volunteers must be currently enrolled college students.
P.S. - Volunteers will receive free food and swag!
